Dinner Attire for Saturday Evening

If you are going to a formal restaurant on a Saturday evening, dress up a little! 

A red satin suit with rhinestone buttons, such as the one I wore when I was interviewed by Stephen Legg for his TV show, Our Town, Evanston, would be considered a dinner suit and would be appropriate to wear for a Saturday evening.

When my husband and I and our kids, Eric and Carolyn, went for dinner to celebrate our mutual wedding anniversaries, I wore my black St. John’s tuxedo suit.  The restaurant did not have a strict dress code so my husband wore a sport coat, shirt and tie while Eric wore a sweater over a button down shirt with dress slacks.  Carolyn wore a baggy sweater over a loose skirt because her waistline was expanding again – this time with a little boy!
