Shower Attire

When my daughter-in-law was expecting her first baby, a shower was held at our country club. 

My husband had refurbished the bassinet that my three sisters and I and all of our children had slept in when we were infants.  I draped the bassinet with antique lace and placed a baby doll in it.

Carolyn, the mother-to-be, wore maternity clothes of course, and all of her friends wore country club attire.  No blue jeans!!

My friends and I dressed up in our fancy duds for the occasion.

The baby doll wore a christening outfit complete with little bonnet.
